Norman Doidge, M.D., is a psychiatrist, psychoanalyst, researcher, essayist, and author of the international best-seller, The Brain that Changes Itself. He is on the Research Faculty at the Columbia University Center for Psychoanalytic Training and Research, in New York, and the University of Toronto’s Department of Psychiatry. He received his psychiatric and psychoanalytic training at Columbia University and his medical degree at the University of Toronto. He served as Head of the Psychotherapy Centre, and the diagnostic Assessment Clinic, at the Clarke Institute of Psychiatry, and has authored psychotherapy guidelines used in Canada. He is a reviewer for the Harvard Review of Psychiatry.
Dr. Doidge has presented his own research at the White House and the United Nations, and recently hosted the TVO 25 hour television series, Mysteries of The Mind. Dr. Doidge is in Canada’s Who’s Who.
