Postcards from Scotland

Who should attend

The event was aimed at people working right across the public and voluntary sectors, particularly those who are trying to solve intractable problems caused by poverty, worklessness, family breakdown and a culture of low expectations.

The event was of particular relevance to -

  • professionals working in health, urban regeneration, communities, social inclusion, poverty, housing, inequality, social services, employability, skills, education, early years, families and police.
  • policy-makers
  • community leaders and activitsts
  • church and spiritual leaders
  • those interested in new thinking and different types of action.

We did not plan a break-out session on health as we think all the break-out sessions will be relevant to people working in this area and that concerns with inequality and health will permeate the whole event.
