10 Aspects of great parenting

In an article for the journal The Scientific American Mind Robert Epstein, psychologist, professor and author reviews the research on good parenting and gives his definitive list of the 10 great parenting skills.

His findings came up with a number of suprises '....two of the best predictors of good outcomes with children are in fact indirect: maintaining a good relationship with the other parent and managingyour own stress level.'  So your children do not just benefit from the way you treat them but also from the way you treat your partner and yourself.

Other apects of his study suggest  that women are not much better than parenting than men and that older parents or people with more children are not significantly better at parenting.
