Learning beyond the classroom

Learning is a lifelong process: It doesn't stop when we leave school. Psychology has made major advancements in what is known about learning across the lifespan. A group of more than 30 researchers are brigding the gap between the ivory tower and the mainstreet by disseminating this knowledge and carrying out research.

They have recognised a need to translate what psychologists know about learning and to bring it into the real world.  this group will be disseminating knowledge about life long learning and thinking skills, such as knowing when and how to learn, think critically, and identifying and solving problems.  They will also be exploring the basic principles of learning that promote performance on the job and in the classroom, technological tools that enhance learning, and the ways in which learning takes place across the lifespan.  their talks are available on the psychological science website. to find out more click here
